Payroll - Income for one employee with 2 different hourly wages

Hello,

We are a retail pharmacy business with approx 15 employees.  We have just hired one employee to work in the pharmacy at one rate of pay & also to work the front store retail department with another rate of pay.  How do I set this up?

Thank you & hoping someone will have an answer!

  • Set up two different payroll earning codes. (maybe by position?). E.g. If you already have HRLY, then set up a HRFSR or RETAIL or something. Give her both pay earning codes on her Employee Payroll Card and assign the different rates to the corresponding position. Then if/when you use a timecard you enter her hours for each position and it will calculate at the assigned rate.
