Discount paypal from Receiveable

Question

Hi all, 
 
 When I try to disconnet paypal from sage 50 it shows: Sorry, we were unable to disconnect your account. Please try again later. 
 
 Could I just cancel the paypal account so sage 50 will not able to connect the paypal account and allow me to connect a new account?

 Thanks for reaching out about disconnecting your PayPal account from Sage 50. If you're encountering an error when trying to disconnect, it's likely not an issue that can be resolved by canceling your PayPal account; Sage 50 may still attempt to reference the linked account. 
 Here are the steps you can take to address this issue:

Troubleshoot Connection : Sometimes these errors can be temporary. Attempt to disconnect once more to see if the issue persists.

Check for Data File Issues : If the problem continues, it may be due to a damaged data file . Consider restoring from a backup made before you initially set up invoice payments, if available.

Sage Bank Feeds Settings : Navigate to the 'Bank Transactions' settings within the Company menu to see if you can remove the PayPal connection there.

Alternative Browser for Setup : For issues related to PayPal screen loading loops , ensure you are not using Internet Explorer 11 as it is no longer supported. Use Chrome or Edge for any setup processes.

Sage Support : If these steps do not resolve the issue, you may need to contact Sage 50 tech support to have them reset the Sage account email address or assist further with the disconnection.

Security Code Email : If the sysadmin's email has been changed, the security code to activate Invoice Payments may still be sent to the original email. You may need to retrieve it from there or contact Sage 50 support to update the email address associated with your Payments Cloud.
