Quantum File needs to open in Premium

Question

Good morning. 
 I have a Sage 50 file that was originally opened in Quantum. It now needs to be opened in Premium but it won't let me. How can I do this (I don't have access to the Quantum program anymore).

Hi Jennifer Baldes , Thanks for reaching out. Please note that it's not possible to directly downgrade a data file from a Quantum edition (our highest edition) to Premium. The database structure is different. This article titled "Can I create a copy of my data in an old version?" confirms this. *If you are at year-end and could re-create the database. To do this, export the trial balance (for your account opening balances) + other reports and lists of client, vendor, project, stock, chart of accounts and price list information. You'll require some intermediate MS Excel skills, see this link for instructions . Historical journal entries cannot be exported though, mostly just list data (customer, vendor, price, projects, inventory lists etc). 
 Alternatively, you could reach out to an existing Sage Accountant's Network member who could open the database and export the contents/ reports for you. Sorry for this news, hope this helps. Warm Regards, Erzsi
