I have installed a new version of SAGE 50 on my laptop and my old version of simply accounting is on a PC.  How can I set up my new SAGE 50 version the same as my simply accounting I currently use?  Is this possible or I need to set it up manually?

The instructions for upgrading your file from your current version of Simply Accounting (hopefully Canadian) to the Canadian Sage 50 (I assume 2024 because that is the topic of this thread, but it is the same for 2025.2) are above in my last post on this thread.

Once you upgrade the file, the program itself will look a little different in colouring and a few different menu options, etc. but all your data will be as you saw it before and you can immediately start doing data entry, pick the same vendors you current have and keep going.

The only setup issues you may have are any custom forms that you may have been using on the old computer.  Make sure you move them to the new computer in the exact same location and you will not have any problems.  Don't forget to move your company logo as well if you use one.  You have find the forms locations under Setup, Reports & Forms.  If you don't put them in the same location as before, you will have to redefine the location of each of the custom forms under Setup, Reports & Forms.  You will see an error message that the program cannot find the form.  You may not see an error that the logo is missing, you will just have to look at the Preview of the form first to make sure it is there.
