Chart of accounts

Question

I changed the account type for 1320 Prepaid expenses from A to G and deleted 1321 Total Prepaid Expenses and then added it back. Since then these accounts don't show in the Select Account window making it impossible to make a journal entry. 
 Would appreciate any input

Hi Abrussell, 
 1320 Prepaid expenses can be used as a linked account in Sage 50. If it it used as a linked account, you will not be able to select it and do a general journal entry. 
 You can follow the link below to check where it is linked to

 After you find it, make a backup, unlinked it and then you will be able to select it for general journal entry posting. 
 For your information, if this account is used for AP, AP, etc, unlink it and post a general journal will create data inconsistencies. Follow the KB article below for suggestion to post to a linked account if this applies to your situation.
