Read only

Question

I updated to 2023 version on the weekend. Now I cannot open my companies. The message box says it is read only. How do I correct this?

 Thanks for reaching out. Did you ever find an answer to your question? What does/did the icon you were launching for Sage 50 CA look like? 
 After activating Sage 50 and launching your company data file, you'll be asked to upgrade the file format. 
 Note that icons for .SAI data files have changed to the below. 
 The "Read-only" message might have been caused by launching the older version of Sage 50 as the file would have been changed to only launch in a newer version. Hope this helps! Warm Regards, Erzsi
