Single user, Sage 50 keeps asking credentials

SOLVED

Hi

Just installed Sage 50, v2025.1 on a desktop computer, single user, for a client whom I'm the tech person

Had to installed it because payroll.

Sage 50 asks for user to login, user had never had to do this step, or would X it.

User creates a new login with current email, and can get into his program.

User tries to change sysadmin email since this email is no longer in use, not able to do so.

Close Sage. Open Sage and the login just created not work! Had to create a new login with the old email address somehow linked with sysadmin.

Any idea on how to change the sysadmin address in users?

I told my client to call Sage to help her out, later in January.

have a nice time!

Any company file that has (or had previously) an email address in sysadmin or any other user was automatically onboarded to Sage Cloud for identity management and signin .  The only way to undo this is to call Sage, have their engineer remote in and user their utility to Clear Cloud onboarding.  Then you can open the company file again as sysadmin, go to settings, setup users, and remote/delete the email address beside each user.  This does fix the problem.  You'll have to get them to do this for each company file you are an IT person for.  Sage has not released the utility to the public to fix the company files and clear the sage cloud onboarding.

Also note, if the company file is linked to Sage HR, Sage does not currently have a way to change an email address.

Too bad Sage does not release the utility to the public to fix the company files so that we can do this ourselves to avoid being on hold with Sage over an hour and the Sage technicians can tend to other issues

As I go through my companies BEFORE going to 2025.1, I check that "access to trird-party software" is set to none, as far as the entreprise does not use such third-party software (such as auto-entry)

    Thanks for your input!
