unable to open company file after upgrading from simply accounting 2009 to sage 50 premium

Hi,

I have installed the software successfully. No error message whatsoever. Then I chose to "restore from backup" and selected the backup file created by the Simply Accounting 2009. The program told me that the file needed to be upgraded to the Sage before it could be opened. I followed all the instructions and clicked the correct buttons. The only change I made was change the file location from C/ to D/ under a new folder. The "upgrade company wizard" poped up and led me through the process. I clicked "next" all the way. After a long converting process, in the end, a message shows "unable to open company file" in a small window. I got the backup file from the previous bookkeeper on a stick. I copied it to my hard drive before doing anything. Would it be something wrong with the backup file? Or anything that I did was wrong? Please kindly help.

Thank you,
