Payroll Entilements

SOLVED

Using Sage 50 Pro 2014.1

I am setting up entitlements in the payroll module and would like to know how to enter year to date entitlement days in the employee file. I have tried to edit the number in the employee file but the program does not allow you to change the number. Is there another way to enter  the year to date entitlement days?

    Hi Myck180,

I assume you are no longer in history mode.  If this is the case, you can bring up a payroll cheque and zero out everything first.  Then, you can go to the
Entitlements tab in the paycheque window and put the balance under "Days Earned" column.  Since this is an adjustment cheque and you cannot post a zero paycheque, you can put a very small account to the cheque like 0.01, which will not trigger any deduction.  After you post the first adjustment cheque, you can post a second adjustment cheque with the exact same amount as the first one but in negative.  They will offset each other.  The end result is that you can update the entitlements without affecting the payroll balance of the employee.

    Hope this helps
