My company started doing payroll with an external payroll service. They send us txt files so we can transfer the account information for each month into our SA system. When I try to import the text files into the accounts SA tells me that the account isn't set up to receive txt files. Anyone know how to fix this??

Sage 50 Canadian can import G/L, Order, and Invoice text files, if they are formatted in the particular way that the system requires.
Does the external payroll service provide you with a properly formatted file that is specific to Sage 50 Canadian, or is it a generic text format as a list of transactions?
Unless there is some third party addon program set up, Sage 50 can only import certain types of transactions - in other words, dollar amounts from payroll but not complete payroll data.
