Correction journal entry disappeared

Question

I'm reconciling my credit card and I'm missing the correction entry of a reversed journal entry. I have the reversal but not the correction. These don't show up on the general ledger and all my searches come up empty. If I create a new journal entry, then my bank will be out by $10k. Any ideas? Here's a screenshot of my reconciliation. It's the 1st one of $10,000 that I'm in need of finding. Any ideas?

Richard, you sent me down the right path and I found it. You were totaly correct, it had been cleared in error in the previous reconciliation compounded by the fact it's a very typical amount so when I reconciled the bank account, I also picked the wrong transaction. I undid the last 2 credit card reconciliations so I could fix it, deleted the incorrect additional $10k entry in the bank and re-did that reconciliation as well. And now, it's all working :) 
 So the lesson is to match my Corrections first so that I don't mistake a reversal with an actual entry. Thanks for sticking with me through this one. Cheers to you!

Not all of it makes sense. 
 Let's start with what I think happened. 
 You or someone using the books, posted J730. I think it had to be cleared on the Apr account rec because it is not available to clear now. 
 Since the April account rec was reconciled, someone completely reversed J730. This was not an adjustment but a complete reversal. The Comment in your image refers back to the same entry, not entry J948 so it was a reversal not an adjustment. If it was an adjustment, it would have referred to the very next entry but may have been dated outside of the dates you are currently reconciling and therefore it may not show in the account rec module right now. 
 You cannot see either J730 or J947 in the General Ledger report now because you have not turned on Corrections. Once an entry is adjusted or reversed, it is marked as a Correction and can only be seen if you turn them on (it's a checkbox on the G/L reporting dialog. 
 The discrepancy is a bad thing but it is caused by reversing, a previously reconciled entry. If you rerun the Account Rec reports from your last reconciliation now, you will see J730 and J947. I forget the exact text marking them, but if I recall correctly, there will be an asterisk beside at least J730 and a note at the bottom. 
 As I said, I believe J730 reconciled last month or it would be available to reconcile now. You will have to trace the reasons for the reversal and what the original journal entry is by turning on the corrections in either the G/L or Journal Entry reporting (see image below). You can run the Journal Entry report by journal number instead of date eg 730-950. 
 Once you have figured that out, you should backup your company file, then put back the same J730 entry with the original date. I would do this without the Account Rec module open. Then open the Account Rec module and select the credit card and see if the Discrepancy is gone. 
 Then to reverse it, post a second entry dated in May to manually reverse the entry. However if it really was reconciled last month, then you may not have to reverse it. If you have an entry on the current statement to reflect the reversal on your credit card amount owing then you can go ahead and manually post a reversing entry. 
 I am missing some details I would normally look at before I posted anything (mostly already mentioned above) but I think this is what happened. It is up to you to figure out why the entry was reversed and whether it was the appropriate thing if it in fact did show up on your credit card statement last month and was cleared. I am going from memory on some of this as well because I couldn't find a file that has a similar problem and I haven't seen one personally in a lot of years.
