Year end reports

Hi there,

I've printed the last fiscal year report and it's not showing retained earnings that should have been from the previous year revenues and expenses.  I checked the chart of accounts and it says it's not visible, except for reports and journals, but it's not showing up in either of these and I'm also able to make a 'control account' visible.

How do I get the trial balance, balance sheet, etc. to show the retained earnings, as it should?

    Hello  ,

    There are a couple of places you can check for this issue.

    1. For the retained Earning to show on the Balance sheet report:

    Go to your Settings > Record and Transactions Settings > At the very bottom there is a section for ACCOUNTING SETTINGS, and you'll find an option for

    Show Retained Earning Value, select "Separately on the Balance sheet". Your balance sheet report should now display the retained earnings on a separate line.

    2. For the retained Earning to show on the Trial Balance report:

    Run a Trial Balance report and at the top of the report, you'll see a few options you can select, including "Summarize retained Earning Values"

    Make sure to select that option and that should display your retained earning line on that report as well.
