Tax Rates Updated

Hello,

Every time that I select a customer I get a pop up that says "Tax Rates Updated, We have updated the tax rates for British Columbia, please check they are correct" I just can figure out how to check the tax rate or make this pop up stop. Can anyone help please?

    Hello  ,
Thanks for reaching out. Here are a few steps you can try to configure your tax settings in Sage Cloud Accounting.

    1.Login to your account

    2. Go to Settings >  Business Settings

    3. Choose Sales Taxes to edit your tax settings

    4. In the list of sales tax types on the Sales Tax Settings page, select I will not collect tax here for any unneeded tax types. For the remaining tax types, enter your registration number and select when your tax compliance reporting period deadlines are in the Tax Return Frequency field.

    5. Hit Save and that's it.

The next time you create an invoice, the system will automatically bring over the taxes related to the customer province you've setup on their contact details.

For more detailed steps, please refer to the article here.

    Thanks for your response Mohamed.

This is something that I had already set up. It does not make the error message go away.

I have found the problem. On the enter an invoice screen there is an option to select the Province. The error comes because the Province seems to go back to Alberta every time I open a new invoice (money in or money out) Can I not make this field default to BC?

    Thanks for your help

I sure wish someone had answered this! I need to create over 100 invoices this week and need to dismiss this ridiculous popup every time because this question was overlooked 2 years ago! :(

If this brings it to someone's attention...I'd sure love help with this question too!

    Thank you, Katie

Okay, actually, I just changed my province to 'BC' and it updated the next new invoice to default with BC.
I am breathing easy again! Hope it works for the next frustrated soul too Slight smile

    Cheers, Katie
