how do I change an A/P account to a credit card (bank) account

Question

Have set up new company. Have entered start-up balances. 
 I set up a credit card as an Accounts Payable but now I want to set it up as a bank account for entering purchases and for reconciling. How can I do this? 
 Eventually I want to set up feed for import.

Hi Lauraly 
 You won't be able to change the type of the account. Do the following 
 
 Add New Bank Account 
 Transfer the current balance using a Journal Entry 
 Connect or Import bank transaction
