Sage Business Cloud → Sage Intacct – How to export transactions with FX details?

Suggested

Hi all,

I’m migrating from Sage Business Cloud Accounting to Sage Intacct and need advice on extracting transaction data for import.

Our Sage Business Cloud base currency is GBP, but in Intacct we want foreign entities set up with their correct base currencies.

For the migration, I need transaction-level data showing:

Foreign currency amount

Exchange rate

Base currency amount

However, I cannot find a report in Sage Business Cloud that shows both the foreign and base values together. Sage Support have advised that this isn’t available, but manually checking transactions isn’t practical.

Has anyone completed a similar migration?
What export method or workaround did you use to obtain full historical transaction data with FX details?

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

    Hi  ,

Great question — and you’re right, moving from Sage Accounting to Intacct is a big (and exciting!) step Slight smile

For Sage Accounting (Canada), you can export transaction data using the available export options, for example:

These can help you extract key transaction data, but as you’ve found, Sage Accounting doesn’t currently offer a standard report that combines foreign currency, exchange rate, and base currency values all in one export — so some manual consolidation may still be needed.

For the Intacct side of things (especially around import structure and FX handling), we’d recommend also posting in the Sage Intacct Community, as that product isn’t hosted on this Community Hub and their experts can provide more targeted guidance.

In the meantime, if anyone here has completed a similar migration, feel free to share your approach or any workarounds you’ve used — it would be great to hear!

    Hope this helps Slight smile
