Hi , thanks for posting about this!

This is actually expected behaviour with Sage Accounting — when sending emails (such as payment notifications or invoices) directly from within Sage Accounting, the emails are sent via Sage's own mail servers and not through Outlook's MAPI client. This is why they won't appear in your Outlook Sent Items folder.

When you previously had Gmail connected within Outlook, your emails may have been routing through a different method, which is why they were visible there. Now that it's been removed, Sage is handling delivery independently.

Here are a couple of things worth checking:

    1. Confirm emails are actually being delivered — Since you mentioned recipients are receiving the emails, delivery is working correctly. You can cross-reference sent activity within Sage Accounting itself rather than relying on Outlook's Sent folder.
    2. Check for any email errors — If you ever suspect a specific email didn't go through, our KB article on Understanding Sent Email Errors walks through common failure reasons (blocked, spam, invalid address, etc.) and how to resolve them.
    3. Email provider settings — If you'd like a copy saved to your Sent folder, you may need to explore the SMTP configuration within your email provider settings, as emails sent via external applications don't always save to the Sent Items folder automatically.

If you'd like more personalised guidance, I'd recommend reaching out to Sage Support via the Help and Chat options available within your Sage product.

Hope this helps clarify things! Let us know if you have any further questions. Blush
