Thanks, Carolyn. I also similarly solved my problem - bought QuickBooks. Now I am wondering how to get rid of this completely useless software once and for all - Sage Accounting. It's definitely overrated.

Thanks for your post. The setup can vary depending on the client type and the specific MTD configuration, so it's worth checking a few details before entering the income and expense information.

For both sole trader and landlord clients, we’d recommend reviewing the MTD tax year setup and confirming that the relevant income source has been configured correctly within the record. If you're still unable to access the relevant pages, it may be specific to the client configuration rather than user permissions.

To get this resolved quickly, could you let us know which version of Sage Accountant you're using?
