Final CT600

SOLVED

Hi,

Can anyone please confirm:

When submitting a company's final CT600 due to closure, I ticked the box "Trade has ceased at the end of the period".

Does that let HMRC know that this is the final submission as the company has ceased trading? If not how would I include this in an amended return please?

Thanks

Shaun

    Hi Shaun,

    Thanks for using Sage City.

That is correct once you tick the box, this advises HMRC the company has now ceased trading and as a result will be the final submission.

    Hi Fallon,

Thank you for getting back to me. Since posting my question I have been trying to find the answer myself and came across this info in the screenshot.

It says on there that it doesn't make an entry on the CT600 which made me think it didn't notify HMRC.

Just to reassure me, it definitely does inform HMRC?

    Thanks again
