Yes this is true.  Manufacturing has been in end of life, and out of support over the past few years,

The last stage of this is that as of december 2025, Sage will no longer ship it as a product, and it will not be available, if you upgrade after that date.  if you do not upgrade it will be out of support, but still work, until something breaks it,  sage have a warning about windows update, and other updates could potentially break it.

they do not HAVE to remove it, it should be up to you,  but having it and using it puts your system at risk, and therefore this may be a liability your partner does not want. So that would be between you and them.

Thanks Toby, My concern was if i can not get something done until January/February 2026 this would really put a fire on the situation but if not uninstalled i should be ok with 1 or 2 months leeway

As Toby mentioned, there is no need to uninstall Sage 200 Manufacturing. The solution will be removed from Sage 200 from version 2025 R2 (2025 R1 will be the last one that can be installed with manufacturing).

Sage 200 manufacturing is currently in Extended support (basically no support unless systems down situation).

From 31st December 2025, Sage will completely stop any support. This is meaning that even if you have v2025 R1 installed with manufacturing, and a Windows update break something in Sage 200 Manufacturing, you are on the mercy of what your partner can do to help you, as Sage will not react to it.

This means that the risk to you will increase every day and it is up to you what level of risk you are happy to take. 

Ultimately, you will need to move away to another solution soon.

So as mentioned in the other responses Sage 200 manufacturing is currently in Extended support which effectively translates to no support unless there is a critical systems down event and from 31st December 2025, Sage will completely stop any support.

Another option to consider when migrating to a new manufacturing Software solution, in addition to CIM200 suggested by Becca, also have a look at Saomanv12 ERP. This is from another Sage Developer who have bee providing Manufacturing Software for Sage since 1996 and their solution integrates with both Sage200 and Sage50 and contains all the functions you would expect: From the initial enquiry through quoting, manufacturing to final dispatch it offers: Stock control & WMS, BoMs, Works Orders, Shop Floor Data Capture, and Shop Floor planning & scheduling Etc.
