    I was really looking forward to v.33 and the new AI features. I'm usually an early adopter for new software but recent versions of Sage haven't helped me - either because new features didn't support charity codes or the AI document capture for purchase invoices didn't attach the documents, until now.

    So it was exciting to install v33, only to find that the new functions aren't available on the Client Manager version. This is so disappointing, and really frustrating after seeing the splash screens advertising the upgrade without any mention that it doesn't include us.

    Instead of being an ambassador for Sage and encouraging my clients to embrace AI, I will have to ask them not to upgrade until I can see what they see so that I can properly support them. Please tell me that Copilot and document capture will soon be available for accountants.

    Hi Anita,

    Thanks for posting about this, and sorry to read of your frustration.

    I took this to the 50 Accounts  Product Team for their awareness and to ask about the plans for those features and Client Manager. 

    They advise that those features are in plan for Client Manager and will be released shortly. As this is still in the development phase I can't be specific with dates, but I will share more information as soon as I can.

    We installed Version 33 only to discover a standard feature we have had since we first installed installed V26 is no longer working.

    We work in a Professional Services firm and our invoices are quite "wordy". Up until V33, our support staff could copy and paste the full text needed onto the face of a Service Invoice under the Invoices and Credits module. Now the front panel has a character limit. The work around is part pasting, clicking the little arrow and then pasting the full text in the pop up box.
    I flagged it on a call as this is a serious time consuming downgrade for us. I was advised to post about it here but I think it should be patched as this is effecting our daily work flows and I would prefer this not to go to the bottom of a suggested improvement list.


    Like @anitaharper I was interested in the AI capture features and was disappointed it is another feature linked to Sage Connect. Sage Connect doesn't work for our larger company and as such I can't use features like bank feeds and report search. I have made several calls with "take down the dataset" always given as the solution but no explantion as to why it would stop working and why it works for the other company.

    It would be great if Sage Connect did not cover so many areas now as when one area goes wrong everything else is effected. Since Sage Connect went live we have had more bugs and crashes than before. Our data is checked and backed up daily so integrity is not the issue but it is frustrating that we cannot get a satisfactory resolution and each upgrade pushes more stuff to Sage Connect.

    Thanks for posting, and I'm sorry to read that the alteration of that feature has impacted you negatively.

    I took your post to our product development team and they advise that they're currently evaluating  the most suitable approach to resolving the issue, and they're aiming to deliver the improvement in the next product release.

    We have only just installed the update of V33 and this character limit has caused serious issues for us as well.  We have several contracts that require certain information to be on each invoice.  We are processing thousands of invoices per month, and the character limit means it is taking us almost double the time to process our invoices.  Can someone confirm if or when this will be resolved.

    I've checked with our product development team and this has been resolved in v33.1 which is currently anticipated for release in early April.

    Hi

    Our company is a service company with engineers reporting back on problems - which are typed on the invoice. I have the same problem !! Its taking me twice as long to type an invoice now. I even tried changing the template - which was another waste of time.

    Hopefully the upgrade will solve this problem - waiting in anticipation!!
