During the webinar, several questions came up about third-party app integrations. Are these available now?
Not yet, but they're firmly on our radar. Third-party app integrations are a key part of our vision for Sage 50 Cloud Accounts, and we're actively working to bring them to the platform. We know how important your connected ecosystem is to running your business smoothly, and we're committed to getting this right.
Which third-party apps will be supported?
We're not ready to confirm a specific list just yet, we want to make sure we can stand behind what we announce. What we can say is that our focus is on the integrations that matter most to our customers, and we're working through that prioritisation now. As soon as we have more to share, you'll hear it from us first.
When will third-party app integrations be available?
We don't have specific dates to share at this stage, and we'd rather be upfront about that than over-promise. It's also worth being transparent that delivery timelines aren't entirely in our hands, bringing third-party integrations to the platform means working closely with external vendors, and that collaboration takes time to align and prioritise on both sides. What we can tell you is that this is actively in development, and we're working through that sequencing now. We'll communicate timelines as soon as we're in a position to commit to them.
Why aren't third-party app integrations included in the Early Access Programme (EAP)?
The EAP is designed to give customers early access to the core product experience so we can gather real-world feedback and refine what matters most. Bringing third-party integrations into scope too early, before they're ready, would risk a disjointed experience, and that's not what we want for our customers or our partners. Getting the foundations right first means integrations will land in a much stronger place.
I rely on a specific app to run my business. How do I know it will be included?
Your feedback is genuinely invaluable here. If there's a specific integration that's critical to your workflows, please let us know . That input directly shapes our prioritisation. It's worth noting that we have to work collaboratively with third-party vendors to make each integration happen, so while customer demand is a major factor in what we prioritise, the pace of delivery also depends on vendor readiness and capacity. Reach out to your account manager or share your thoughts through the EAP feedback channels. The more we hear from customers, the better placed we are to make the right calls.
How will I be kept informed of progress on third-party integrations?
We'll keep EAP participants updated as things develop. You can expect communications through the EAP programme channels, and we'll make sure integration milestones are called out clearly so you're never left guessing where things stand.
Will ODBC and Excel-based reporting be available in Sage 50 Cloud Accounts?
Not in the initial release. Excel will not be pre-installed on the virtual machine that Sage 50 Cloud Accounts runs on, which means ODBC connectivity, and any workflows that depend on it, such as Excel-based reporting and data exports, won't be available straight away. We know this is an important capability for many customers, and it's something we're actively monitoring as the early release progresses. It remains under constant review, and we'll share updates as the picture becomes clearer.
