When clearing Bank Ledger balances this can take a while to complete. If this has been left for an excessive amount of time we would advise the following: 

1. Back up the data.

2. Ensure the data is local. The article Restore a backup locally to run a year end will support you with this. 

3. Reindex and Compress all and try changing the Financial Year again.
