Hello, I'm new to the Community Hub so I apologise if this question has already been asked.  

My accountant has asked me to amend the year end date for our accounts.  The last year end run was to 31st January 2024 

Accountant wants this year end and all future year end dates to be 31st March 2025 

He has given me an Opening Balances journal to enter - Opening Balances as of 1st April 2024 for Year End 31st March 2025

What is the simplest way of processing this?  I have tried to follow the SAGE Help Guides but they talk about reversing the journals for brought forward values.  I'm embarrassed to say it has utterly confused me and I don't want to make any mistakes.
