Correcting a reversal JE

Suggested

Hi, I created an upload file with a reversal JE as well. After the upload is done, I am able to edit the original entry but not the reversed entry. You can see below that we are able to drill down the original entry but not the reversed one which is part of the same upload file.

However when I did the same upload for other months both were able to have the drill down view. It can be seen below that except 2 entries all entries can be drilled down and the amount can be edited

Could someone please help?

    SUGGESTED

There appear to be screenshots (which have been redacted as necessary) missing from your post.

Whenever I import a journal I use the "Audit Trail transactions - Grouped" option (not exactly sure what the difference is).

When I import a journal with its reversal from a single file (as I do each month), it creates "two" journals - one for the original and one for the reversal which can be edited separately.

Without [redacted] screenshots, I cannot be any more specific.

I would suggest you look for clues in your import file. The journal lines need to be right next to each other so Sage can link them together. For example, check that your journals dated 01/05/25 aren't mixed with dates of 30/04/25. If Sage can't easily identify which lines belong together, it will make it impossible to edit. I stopped using the import Wizard for that reason and moved to Adept Tools add-on which seems more intuitive.
