So should you be using Allied Irish Bank SEPA in the XML format?

yes, I have uploaded in XML format - my bank told me I need to enter my OIN reference when creating the file but I am not sure where to enter this

I would check which plug in you have installed, The XML format isn't right for Allied Irish iBB (which your screenshot shows you have installed)
