Which Allied Irish Bank (AIB) banking software are you using, e.g. iBusiness Banking (wiz_iBB), Allied Irish Bank SEPA, etc?

We are using IBB. We have checked the files created by Sage and sent them to AIB to check compatability.
The response was
" the format within the file is that of the EMTS file (Standard/Flat File) and since February 2016 AIB can no longer process this file format."

When using iBusiness Banking (wiz_iBB) you’re correct to use a Text file (*.TXT). as the e-Payments file type.

When you import the file into wiz_iBB, you must choose APACS from the File Format drop-down list and not Sage.

You can find full info on how to process e-Payments in Sage 50 Accounts here.

On our AIB IBB menu we don't have the option to select APACS, this seems to be where we are coming unstuck.

You'd need to contact AIB to see why this option isn't showing in their software.
