I've successfully imported a journal with a numeric reference. Now I would like to be able to create a transaction report that is selectable by Reference, so I can see all the lines on the journal on the same page. How do I do that?

The journal is across multiple nominal codes and multiple departments, with a single date and single reference. One day I might even want to see the report with a selection of dates and references but for now I want to see one. 

I tried an audit trail report but that couldn't be selected by reference. I tried a transaction report but it didn't recognise the reference I was looking for. I had already looked at nominal activity and saw the entry was there, but I don't want to check my journal by looking into every nominal code separately. 

The Reference I'm talking about is the reference that appears in the top left of the journal entry screen.
