TOO MANY PRODUCT CODES FOR SAGE 50

We have way in excess of the 20,000 (130k+) recommended products that Sage 50 suggest. However we are a small company & do not warrant Sage 200.  In fact Sage just refused to even give me a cost for it, as 'it wouldn't be suitable'.  However our Sage 50 product code list is just getting bigger and bigger as it will no longer allow me to delete redundant product codes.  Sage just crashes & actually even corrupts & wont allow me back into the program at all. Does anyone know of a bolt-on program or a workaround?  Surely we cant be the only small company with this issue?

    SUGGESTED

If you have a lot of products that need to be removed from your dataset, I would ask someone to do it for you.

Adept tools could do it. I am sure that there are other reputable data experts that could also do it.

(I am not connected to Adept)

Hi Ken, thanks for recommendation. However it isnt just a case of getting rid of a batch of product codes. Its that even streamlined as much as we can, we still need far more capacity than the recommended 20000 product codes.  Essentially we need to operate with 80-100k product codes as a minimum.  At that level Sage 50 doesnt operate well in the products list. ie you cant filter or delete records as Sage crashes.  So over time the amount of products constantly increases.  Essentially we need something to handle way more product codes than Sage 50 but we are not big enough for Sage 200 & Sage are refusing to even quote for Sage 200!
