We recently updated from V28 to V30.1 at work, no issues with the computers being able to connect to the data on our server, however our spreadsheets that link to sage via ODBC can all no longer connect.

In the last when we do sage updates, we open the ODBC manager, edit the path under the new version of sage for both 32 and 64 bit ODBC and that's it.

This time around, when I do this, excel gives me a message saying "Data source name not found and no default driver specified". I should point out that during this upgrade, we moved from 32 bit Sage50 to 64 bit, not sure if this affects anything but worth a mention.

I used Microsoft's ODBCtest tool to check the connection, and that shows connection is established via the sage 30.1 DSN, but there's an error saying "the driver returned invalid (or failed to return) SQL_DRIVER_ODBC_VER: 30.1".

Following this, I have installed the 30.1 ODBC driver from sage (64 bit version to match the 64 bit software, system and office version) and still no joy.

The data path is pointing to the right place, there's another forum post online where the solution was that the path was incorrect, but the path in this case is correct.

Any suggestions at all would be massively appreciated because I'm a bit stuck to be honest and not sure what to try next.
