Apologies for the delayed reply. 

This can be done, but it's important not to rename any of the files or folders within Company.000 / PLC.000. 

When making the change you'll need change the data paths in the company file held on each computer that has a copy of the software installed. You can do this by browsing to C:\ProgramDats\Sage\Accounts\20XX and opening the "company" file using Notepad. You can then edit the path and save the changes.
