Changing Data Path Folder Name

Question

Hi, 
 Our accounts dept have asked if it ok to change the folder names on our Sage server 
 For example \Accounts\Database\Company.000 to PLC.000 
 Is this likely to cause us any issues

Hi Stephen, Apologies for the delayed reply. This can be done, but it's important not to rename any of the files or folders within Company.000 / PLC.000. When making the change you'll need change the data paths in the company file held on each computer that has a copy of the software installed. You can do this by browsing to C:\ProgramDats\Sage\Accounts\20XX and opening the "company" file using Notepad. You can then edit the path and save the changes. I hope this helps. Andy, Sage UKI
