Sage Data accessed on a newer version?

Today my two staff and I have been working on Sage Version 32.079. Logging in later this evening I am receiving a message that the data was last accessed on a newer version 32.1 xx. No one has accessed it on a newer version and I have checked all PC's and my Laptop. All are still showing Sage version 32.079 on the company selection screen. Again showing that none have been updated. Why am I getting that message? Who accessed my data?

    Hi Wayne,

    Thanks for your post.

This could only happen if the data had been accessed by a newer version. Do any other parties have access to the data, maybe an accountant with remote access?

You mentioned that you accessed the data later in the evening, if you have a copy installed at home and access remotely have you checked the version number on that installation through Help > About?

I recommend double-checking the version numbers of all installations.

To regain access, the following article can help with updating to the later version: Error: the data was last used...

    Thanks for your reply.

Yes we have already solved it. I needed to access in Friday so took the chance on updating my software before knowing who had accessed it.

It was my Accountant. He had a new server installed which subsequently forced an upgrade to his version of sage. When he was installing the remote access side of it, he had to access our data. This forced it to send us the Data Accessed message and subsequently we were being asked to update to access our data all be it without knowing who had accessed it with a newer version.

I have asked he let me know in future when he is going to access. We put his access on hold that evening in case he had been hacked. However, I do think it would be better if you could see who had accessed your data before having to update in order to clarify it was legitimate and safe to upgrade. It is only possible to see this after you upgrade. We had quiet a panic at 7pm on a Friday wondering who had.
