Why do I have to grant authority for sage to interact with HMRC every time I submit a Vat return. According to the software the authority last for 18 months?
Sage 50 Accounts please sort this out. It went from a mild annoyance, that every month I was logging in and granting 18 months authority only to have to do the same again the following month, to a deal breaker when I was unable to submit the VAT return while working remotely from abroad, since I could not receive the SMS required to log in for 2 factor authentication. Have raised as a 'suggestion' S50UKI-I-2576
Seems Sage are not interested on fixing this.
They really should try using their software across multiple companies running various VAT/HMRC dates to see just how poor their software is.
It's been years now, other software packages work just fine but Sage, no way!
I've been recommended Xero but so far have been unable to confirm if they have this issue, do you know?
Not sure, I know Quickbooks works just fine.
Have moved some companies over there, may end up with them all over in the end as I had thought Sage would have fixed this by now but it appears they also run the IT and PR for BA!
It's gone onto my list as essential so will be making sure before switching to another software. Sage is increasing the prices all the time and I'm just not seeing that the benefits are worth it.
