I am deregistering a client who uses cash accounting. I understand I have to account for VAT on assets and also debtors/creditors. How do I do this in SAGE please? Are they manual adjustments to the VAT return?
Thanks Sarah

Hi,
Thanks for using Community Hub.
This is our current guidance around VAT Deregistration: Deregister for VAT - UK Only
In terms of showing the VAT on the return, I'd suggest confirming with HMRC what they would like to see and then we can use the appropriate postings / tax codes or manual adjustments as required.

Thank you. The link is generic. I gather that the VAT on debtors/creditors and stock will have to be a manual adjustment.
