I've just upgraded to Sage50 Accounts Professional v29 and when I run check data this appears;
I've waited but the status doesn't change, when I click Cancel this appears;

Thanks for using Sage City.
Queuing is normally caused when other users are logged in. To allow the check data to run while another user is logged in, you need to enable the setting in Settings > Company Preferences > Parameters: "Enable check data and backup with users logged in".
There may not be anyone else actually logged in, but if there was a crash or the software didn't close properly then the system may believe there is a user still logged in.

I have the same issue in several companies but the parameters are set as per your answer, any other ideas.
Hi Pamela, does the same issue occur if you log in as another user, or on a different PC? Do you have a different Windows profile you could use to test that too? Just looking to establish a pattern or cause.

I had a similar problem when my Windwos crashed.
A clear out of all my temporary files from C:\users\<my userid>\AppData\Local\Temp\ seemed to help.
Any currently open and in use will refuse to be deleted - no problem just skip deleting them.
The closed files are normally (>99.999999%) unneeded and can usually be recreated if necessary - you may be surprised how much junk is sitting there totally unnecessarily.
