Error checking comment on deleted invoice

Hi - when we run check data we are given a comment about a customer account with an invoice dated in the future - 2044 to be exact. This invoice has been corrected so the actual 'error' transaction is a deleted transaction - but it still shows up in comments...and I guess will show up for another 20 years unless there is a way to remove it?

I don't understand why check data would check deleted transactions anyway?

Thanks in advance for any help.

    Hi,

    Thanks for using Community Hub.

Could you confirm the version number of Sage 50 Accounts you are using, you can find that in Help > About. It would also be useful to get the exact wording of the comment.

    Hi

I have had this issue for literally decades on various versions of Sage Accounts and never found a way around it  - currently it is on version 16.00.17.0154 which I know is old and unsupported but it previously didn’t seem to be specific to the version and I know that the same occurs with version 20.0.9.320 from 2014 and wonder has this problem been corrected on the later versions of Accounts?

Our typo was at the end of the millennium with a couple of entries dated 2099 instead of 1999 at the end of the year. The comment is the usual "Transaction 723 posted date is (20122099)” which will I guess mean that it will appear and have to be ignored for another 75 years before it goes away (I have had to ignore it for 24 years already so I guess another 75 wont do any harm but it would be nice if there was some way of removing these comments)

As the original poster Andy asked why were deleted transactions ever included in the comments because this information is not of interest and unhelpful?

    Best Regards

    Paul
