Sage 50 View Bank payment made for wages - possible vat error

Suggested

Hi,

We pay our wages using a bank payment under a set nominal code and list each member of staff.  The amounts match.  However, on my bank reconciliation the wages are out by £2 not the total.  My guess is somewhere vat has been charged but I cannot find how to view it.  I have viewed the vat nominal code.  How do I view where all the transactions went including vat on that transaction so I can see if that is my difference?

Many thanks

I would go to the Transactions screen and run a Filter.  Find the batch of bank payments and filter to show only the transactions "Where" the "No" is "greater than or equal to" to the first transactions in the batch and "less than or equal to" the last in the batch.  When you've isolated those transactions, you can click on the Tax column to sort into order based on the VAT amount and it should be obvious where the error lies.

(Make sure you haven't got anything in the Search box at the top before you run the Filter or it will limit the results).
