Unpaid Carer Leave

Suggested

Please could someone assist me with assigning unpaid carers leave.  Is it possible for the system to deduct the salary

from the current pay period?

If this employee is going on unpaid carers leave mid pay period, you can either create a pre tax payment element to add to their employee record and when you process their salary, you can then use this pay element showing how many hours need to be deducted from their salary with a negative pay rate, making sure you put a minus sign before the pay rate, or create a pre tax deduction element but this time you do not need to put a minus sign as you are creating a deduction. Both of these will reduce their salary figure by the amount you need to reduce it by.

If they continue on Carers leave and you are not due to pay them in the next pay period, you can just place them on hold for the next pay run and you will not need to include them again until you need to pay them again.
