NI Employee working in ROI

Question

I am doing payroll for an Irish company. They have hired a Northern Irish person who will be resident in NI all year and work remotely. 
 Can they entered on irish payroll?

Thanks for using Community Hub.

It's not immediately obvious from your post if you're using Sage 50 Payroll (UK legislation) or Sage Payroll Ireland (Irish Legislation).

If you're using Sage 50 Payroll (UK) then yes they ca be paid through Sage 50 Payroll. appendix 5 may apply, but you can check that with HMRC.

If you're using Sage Payroll Ireland, we'd recommend referring to Revenue to make sure there would be no issues.
