Thanks for that Carole. That's the correct option for Sage HR Online Services which I gather you use, is that right? Let me know if not, but if you do use Sage HR I'd advise a couple of steps here:

• Check your activation details are up to date. You can get your latest details using our Find my serial number and activation key guide, then click Tools>Upgrade program in Sage 50 Payroll and enter these details, then click Update. If they're already up to date click Update without changing those details.
• If the issue still occurs, the next step would be to reinstall using the Run as administrator option. You can find the download for the program and instructions to install using run as admin in our download and install Sage 50 Payroll guide.

Thanks John but both suggestions haven't resolved the issue so i'll contact Sage support

Ah ok, thanks for letting me know.

After contacting Sage support today it's a really easy solution. The date calendar now appears only in the full screen mode so hope this helps anyone else with the same issue.
