Pensions

I have an employee who left the pension scheme, then came back.  As far as I know I have completed the details to add back to the scheme in sage payroll but his pension contributions do not appear on the pension assessment.  It says he's joined and eligible.  His contributions for ER and EE pensions do appear on the Pensions - Current report correctly.

Is there something I haven't done?

I added a new employee this month but forgot to postpone her to start with.  When I rolled back and tried to postpone her it wouldn't allow me to.  So on the assessment report she has come up as NonEligible and no scheme.  How can I rectify this and postpone her?

Many thanks,

Emma

    Hi Emma

    Thanks for using Community Hub

For the employee that left the scheme. How did you go about adding them back into the scheme? just to get a better idea of what's happening with them.

The new employee, if they are non-eligible, you would not be able to postpone, as they haven't been seen as eligible to be enrolled yet, probably due to the age of the employee (under 22) or not hitting the earnings threshold for the pay period. so won't need to take any action to correct this.

    Hi Phill,

I believe I added him back on the pension part of employee in sage payroll.

    I hope that helps.

With the newbie, when I processed the first time she had deductions so she must be eligible.

    Many thanks,

    Thanks Emma

In that case, I would check to see that the scheme that has been joined is classed as an auto-enrollment scheme in Company and Pension schemes, check to see if the qualifying scheme box is ticked.

For the new starter, if they had previous deductions, then that would have been the only opportunity to postpone them without having to roll back. but if this is the first pay period and they are non-eligible then they wouldnt be able to be auto-enrolled or postponed.
