In Sage 50 Payroll there is no option to calculate employer National Insurance only, it may be that Sage 50 P11D is a better solution for that: Sage 50 P11D >

How does using P11D software help with payrolling benefits, which was the original question ?

Hi Sarah, what Mary is trying to achieve can't currently be done in Sage 50 Payroll. Payrolling benefits was designed to help employees get the right tax code sooner and doesn't affect the employer side of National Insurance, but that could be handled by P11D software. Hope that makes sense.

so i can still payroll the benefit for tax and calculate the ER NICS at the end of the year on HMRC website, it doesn't seem worth the expense of purchasing the software when it will be compulsory in 2026 to payroll the benefits.
