Company car calculator different to HMRC calculator

Question

The HMRC company car & fuel calculator has a different amount to using the Sage payroll car & fuel one. 
 The car will be payrolled so I need to get this right. I have never had such a discrepancy before. 
 Tax year 24/25

Hi, thanks for posting those. The values on the HMRC website are different to Payroll as the chosen fuel type on the HMRC site is set to type F, but for euro IV you need to select fuel type D. Details are on the website: www.gov.uk/calculate-tax-on-company-cars Using the HMRC calculator Choose fuel type &lsquo;F&rsquo; for diesel cars that meet the Euro 6d standard (also known as Real Driving Emissions 2). Choose type &lsquo;D&rsquo; for other diesel cars. If you choose D on the HMRC calculator then the values match. If this helps, please click Verify Answer . Regards, Andy Safe UKI
