Just one more question though. The Employer will making savings using Salary Sacrifice on their NI. They would like to use these savings to give back to the employee. Does Sage payroll work this out or do I have to do a manual calculation? I know that this system is very popular with employers and looking at pension providers calculations this method they use.

For the further question, Sage 50 Payroll doesn't include an option to do this automatically. You'd need to manually calculate the Employer NI saving and process this as a payment to the employee.

I'm not aware of plans being in place to add this at the moment.

I'd never say never though! We have an ideas board set up that our developers use to take suggestions for improvements, I know there's an item on there for reinvesting NI savings into the pension, feel free to visit the board and add a new suggestion or upvote others: Ideas board
