Pension Contributions

Hello!

We are looking at moving providers and need the post and pre tax contributions for the pensions, but cannot work out where we get these figures from in sage payroll. Is anyone able to help with this?

    Hi Katherine,

    Thanks for using Community Hub.

We'd need a little more information about this one if possible. Normally you would only have Pre or Post pension deductions. However, if you're looking for a Pension report, you can get the manual reports from the from the pension checker tool, if you have the Pension module. Pension Checker tool >

  • If you highlight all the employees and select Reports from your top menu and then select Employee on the left hand side and then if you run the report called Pensions - TD this will give you the YTD values for pensionable pay and also for the employers pension contribution and then employee's pension contribution which your new provider can record on the employee's record so any pension calculations after this will add to the YTD values entered on their employee record.

For them to enter these figures, they can either import this when setting up the employees on their payroll or if done individually, these figures can be entered by selecting the Employment tab of the employee record, select YTD values and then on the Other YTD tab of this screen that opens, and the pension details can be entered here.
