NHS Pension - Additional Contributions

SUGGESTED

Is it possible for an Employee to make additional voluntary contributions in the NHS Pension, without normal EE and ER contributions being deducted as does not want to be in the pension. EE owes additional monies to pension and wishes to bring this up to date but not contribute further monies from salary

    Hi Andrea,

If the employee doesn't want to be in the NHS scheme but wants/needs to pay pension contributions they owe over to the scheme then you could handle this via a normal pension scheme then pay the funds to the scheme outside of payroll. Alternatively, we would recommend seeking additional advice from the provider.

    Thanks,
