Line breaks in quote descriptions

Suggested

Hi all,

I have a question about the formatting of quote (and invoice) descriptions. When creating quotes, particularly more complex ones, we often use line breaks to separate information for ease of reading, see screenshot below.

However, this formatting doesn't translate to the online quote page where our clients view and accept quotes, which means the description displays as one big block of text which is very difficult to read, see screenshot below. It does translate to the quote PDFs, but we mainly use the online pages. Is there any way to force the line breaks to display here too?

Thanks,

Shannon

    Hi Stuart,

Thanks for your response. Please see screenshot below, we are adding the description in the Description box when creating quotes - outlined with red box. As you can see, line breaks display as desired here, but don't carry forward to the online quote page the customer sees.

    SUGGESTED

    Afternoon Shannan,

Thanks for the screenshot, I have checked on my side and this is not expected, what I would recommend you do us contact the Sage Accounting team directly so this can be investigated for you.

    You can reach them on 0191 479 5911 Monday to Friday, 8am - 8pm.

As a work around until this is resolved for you, it may be worth creating an Attachment which can be attached as part of the quote just so the description is clear on there side.

This help article called Add Attachments will guide you on the work around.
