can I manually reconcile vat prior to mtd?

Hi Michelle, 
 You can mark a VAT Return as submitted by other means only if you have not already authenticated your Accounting account with HMRC. 
 Once you have gone through the process of linking your software to your HMRC account via MTD, this can't be undone and only direct submissions are allowed.
