Hello to all our members, old and new!

I’m Andy, the UK & Ireland lead for Community Hub, and I’m excited to introduce myself and help you get settled in. I’m here to keep the forums running smoothly, assist with any questions you might have, and encourage everyone to jump in with ideas, replies, and best practice. The goal is to make this a place where we all learn from each other and find solutions together.

If you’re new to Community Hub, feel free to set up a profile, and post your questions. Why not make your first post a reply here to introduce yourself?

A little bit about me: Before joining Sage, I worked with three government agencies, including HMRC’s VAT Enquiry line. I’ve been with Sage for 25 years now, starting out on the support line for Sage Line 50 (now Sage 50 Accounts). Over the years, I moved into the Digital Knowledge Team where I helped develop helpful materials for our products, and eventually, into my current role here in Community Hub. I’m really passionate about what I do, and it’s so rewarding to see the community come together to help each other out!

When I’m not immersed in Community Hub, you’ll probably find me out birdwatching. I’m actively involved in long-term studies of Mute Swans and Kittiwakes. I also enjoy reading, socialising, and, as a lifelong Newcastle United fan, I’m still holding out hope for that elusive domestic trophy (69 years and counting!).

Now, enough about me—I’d love to hear from you! What brought you to Community Hub? What would you like to see here? Feel free to share your own introduction, and let’s get to know each other!

Hi, I’m Andrew I work in customer services supporting users and accountants with Sage Business Cloud products. Relatively new to supporting the community here on the Hub but already enjoying the variety of questions asked.  I’m looking forward to helping make the Hub a vibrant place for support and ideas

Outside of work my main interests are running, kayaking  and very basic astronomy.

    Hi everyone!

I'm Claire and I work in Accountants Division, supporting our accountants who use Sage Business Cloud. Been at Sage for 3 years and have always enjoyed getting involved across different discussion posted on Community Hub.

When I'm not at work, I enjoy a different range of things from going to festivals and trying to beat my previous year's reading challenge. So if you have any recommendations let me know! Blush

I’m Tony, a qualified Accountant, working in a Practice in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, and have used Sage accounting software for over 25 years. I believe that Sage accounting software is the Market Leading software and I am happy to help colleagues, clients and other Sage users in the Community Hub. The Sage Community Hub has also helped me expand my knowledge about Sage too. I like taking my dog for walks (he is in the office with me now), and exploring our countryside in my campervan. I'm a big Harry Potter fan too, and enjoy going to the theatre, cinema and concerts whenever possible.

    Hi everyone, I'm Shaun!

I'm a sole practitioner, being the accountant for my AAT licensed practise SGL Accountancy Services.
I've been a user of Sage, accounting and payroll, for years while in business. When moving into practise I continued to work with Sage, and began working with their then-newish Sage Business Cloud.

Sage continues to be the veins running through my practise, connecting different areas and different functions together, while being an integral part of my processes.
That even goes as far as my own learning with Sage University. I'm always on the look out for new courses on there, so I can earn another certification or badge (sad, I know! lol).
There's a lot to learn there, but for the fiddly bits or a quick answer, the community here has great fellow members in addition to the Sage team, always happy to help. I should know because I ask plenty of questions myself!

When I'm not working or chasing new badges, I enjoy gaming on anything from Zelda on Switch, to Overwatch on Playstation. It's the best distraction to help me switch off so I'm not keeping my work brain on all day, every day.

    Thanks for reading!
