Student loan deduction

Question

I have an employee who ticked the incorrect box on his new starter form so his student loan deduction was not set up when I created him on my payroll. 
 HMRC have informed me that he need to pay his student loan & I have clarified this with the employee and now need to set it up on payroll but cant see where i do this. Can anyone advise me please

 Thanks for using Sage City. 
 
 In Sage Payroll the student and postgraduate loans are setup as a deduction (either in settings or during the pay run). Here is the article for Student and Postgraduate Loans for the full steps. 
 
 The next question is when this change should be applied. 
 If this is a new employee or HMRC have said it&rsquo;s ok, you can just add the deduction in the next pay run and it will remain there moving forward. 
 However, if the deduction needs to be backdated you will have to edit each pay run and add the deduction to the employee. Here is the guide on Editing completed pay runs . It is then up to you and the employee how the deduction is reclaimed.
